For larger shops and excellent Friday market, the riverside town of Prayssac, on the Lot is only 10 min drive.3 km further along is Puy L”Eveque which is on the river Lot and has boats available. The ancient town of Cahors with its medieval bridge is 25 km. To the north, the Dordogne valley offers numerous castles and sites, canoeing facilities and historic market towns. Golf at Belves (40 km). International airport: Toulouse 120 km.
Beautiful gardens, with a large pool and well equipped recently built ”pigeonnier-style” pool house comprising outdoor shower, WC and simple kitchen facilities are exceptional features at this converted mill house. Private pool 12 x 6 x 1-3m depth with security alarm.
The owner, a keen gardener, lives in the adjoining part of the building but has his own garden area; the garden below the property and the pool are for clients” use only. The mill house conversion has retained some striking character aspects; not only the mill stream itself (fenced and railed but supervision recommended) but a full height beamed living room and attractive stone walls. Traditional French furnishings complete the authentic feel.
The main living area is a large full-height room on the ground floor with sofa, TV video/DVD and CD player. Doors from the living room open to the front of the building and then via a wooden pedestrian bridge into the main part of the garden behind the house, with lovely views to woodland and meadows. Well equipped kitchen with all facilities including microwave, dishwasher, dryer and washing machine. Dining area. Slightly raised from ground floor level Bed 1: 2 singles. Bathroom with shower overhead and sep shower and WC. In addition this has all been designed for wheelchair access, with extra wide doors.
